A closed circuit TV system is installed for fans in the concession stands.  Also, a new paint job for some areas of the stadium as well as new lights.

Mike Laga becomes the only player to ever hit a ball completely out of Busch Stadium during a game. It was a foul ball that left the ballpark approximately two-thirds of the way down the right field line.

Todd Worrell became the Cardinals’ second straight Rookie of the Year award winner, setting a Rookie record with 36 saves.  Vince Coleman became the only NL player to steal 100+ bases in more than one season.

Todd Worrell becomes the first person to earn both the Rookie of the Year and the Rolaids Relief Man awards.

Vince Coleman becomes the first Cardinal to have three sacrifice flies in one game.  (5/1)

Benches clear in a game against the Giants on 7/22.   Whitey and Roger Craig get into it as well.
