Highlights:

The Cardinals established franchise single-season attendance record this year, while selling out all 81 home games.

Rick Ankiel had a team high 11 HR's and 39 RBI's since 8/9 (date he was called-up)

Yadier Molina had his first multi-HR game on 8/16 at Milwaukee, going 3 for 3.  He also had 3-hit games on 8/9 & 8/10 and had 4 3-hit games in a span of 11 starts (8/2-16).  He had a career-high 15 game hit-streak from 5/1-24. (The longest by a Cardinal catcher since Erik Pappas, 16-game streak in 1993 (5/14-6/5))

Albert Pujols has 7 straight 100-RBI and 7 straight 30 HR seasons.

Chris Duncan and Albert Pujols are the only Cardinals to begin their careers with consecutive 20-HR season.

In December the Cards make a trade with San Diego that brings David Freese to St. Louis.

On Sept. 18th, the Cardinals become the first NL team to use 11 pitchers in a game.  The Cards still lost to the Phillies, 7-4 in 14 innings.

David Eckstein batted .405 in September, ranking 5th in the NL and ranked 2nd (4th in MLB) among all NL shortstops batting average (.310) since the All-Star break.

Jason Isringhausen recorded his 30th save on 9/22 vs. Houston, giving him five 30-save seasons (first ever) with the Cardinals!

Isringhausen earns co-player of the week (August 20th) honors!

Jason Isringhausen earned his 200th save as a Cardinal on 8/26 vs Atlanta.  He's only the 15th reliever in ML history to have recorded 200 or more saves with one team!

Tony La Russa moved into 3rd place on the all-time games managed list (4,409 games, 8/21)

Ozzie Smith named to the All-Time Rawlings Gold Glove Team!

The Cardinals pitching staff has put together 10 straight quality starts (8/7-8/17) (7/3 w/l).  This is the longest streak of quality starts since 4/23-5/4, 2003.  (The staff at that time was:  Matt Morris, Woody Williams, Brett Tomko, Jason Simontacchi, and Garrett Stephenson.)

The Cardinals equaled a MLB record by collecting 10 consecutive hits in the 5th inning of Monday, August 6th's game with the Padres. (game recap)

The Cardinals hit six home runs during Sunday's (July 15th) win at Philadelphia which ties a season high for most homers in a game this year in the Majors! (game recap)

Scott Rolen collected five hits in Sunday's (April 22nd) win at Chicago.  The last Cardinal to have five hits in a game was Edgar Renteria on 8/8/2004 against the Mets. (game recap)

Jim Edmonds appeared in his 1,000th career game as a Cardinal on 4/17.  (28th player to do so)

Albert Pujols moved ahead of Ken Boyer (255) into 2nd place on the Cardinals all-time HR list (4/28).

As of the start of the season, Chris Carpenter had the second highest winning percentage (.739) and the third most wins (51) in the Majors for the 2004, 2005 & 2006 seasons.
