Highlights:

Cardinals draft Ted Simmons in the first round.  Ted went on to make six All-Star game appearances for the Cardinals in 13 seasons.

Lou Brock becomes the first major leagure to have a season of 20 or more HRs and 50 or more stolen bases.

Stan Musial served as General Manager this year.  (named: 1/23/1967)

The Cards had an unbelievable 52-28 record on the road, outscoring their opponents 369-256.

Roberto Clemente hits a line drive off of Bob Gibson's leg breaking it on July 15th.

In the WS, Lou Brock scored 8 times and Roger Maris had 7 RBIs.

Curt Flood had a record-breaking errorless streak that lasted from Sept. 3, 1965 to June 4th of this year.

Police take to the field to break up a fight between the Cards and the Reds on July 3rd.

The Cardinals top the 2 million attendance mark for the first time and led the majors in attendance.
